We are thrilled to annouce that Ben has been shortlisted along with 3 others for the Pride of Granada award. The winner of this award will go on to represent the North West in the Fundraiser category at the  Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards.

Ben Ashworth, 36, was diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer. Undeterred by his diagnosis, Ben has run 17 marathons for charity over 17 months.

Ben is in the midst of his biggest challenge yet.  Not only is he climbing the National 3 Peaks, he will also be cycling 450 miles between the peaks, before taking on a Tough Mudder UK event on the final day!

Last Friday Ben climbed to the top of Ben Nevis, and has since been cycling from Scotland to the beautiful Lake District.

On his blog Ben writes, “Thanks so much for your help everyone. I write this every day, but it’s true- your belief in me is a big part of me getting here! I’m doing my best to honour your support during my epic 11 day National 3 Peak Cycle and Tough Mudder Challenge.”

Ben is fundraising for us as well as two other charities. His fundraising page is here:
