Patient Day Midlands
We are very pleased to announce that our first Midlands Patient Day will be held at the Charles Hastings Education Centre, Worcestershire Royal Hospital, WR5 1DD, on Saturday 8 April 2017. It is being organised in conjunction with the colorectal nursing team of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
Come and meet the region’s colorectal nurse specialists and the charity’s support team. This is a great opportunity for patients, their relatives and friends to watch presentations and take part in interactive workshops on the physical and emotional effects of bowel cancer, practical advice on healthy living during and after treatment, a keep fit session, a carers’ workshop, advances in surgery and treatment, and much more.
We are also organising a support and information hall where you can talk to experts about products, services and devices that can make your life more comfortable. There will also be stoma nurses, dieticians and chemotherapy nurses on hand with advice.
Bowel cancer patients, their families and colorectal nurse specialists are warmly invited to attend this FREE day of information and support. Registration is from 9.30 am and the programme will run from 10.00 am – 4.30 pm. We provide lunch and refreshment breaks.
Please see a list of the organisations who are supporting this event here.
If you would like a copy of this poster for your clinic or bowel cancer support group, please email Jo Garnham.
