The weather and terrain

Weather in the mountains can change quickly and without warning. The day time temperature should be somewhere between 6-20 degrees Celsius. The temperature can dip below freezing at night and you will be advised to bring a 3-4 season sleeping bag. Most days should be dry and bright, with the chance of rain showers. You will be sent a full kit list upon registering for the challenge so you are fully prepared for the climate.

You will be walking over undulating terrain with very few flat sections. The trek takes us up and down wide mountain passes and you will need to have good fitness to fully enjoy the experience.
