Bowel cancer survivor Robert Clubb, 65, works in property management in Manningtree in Essex. “I volunteer for Beating Bowel Cancer because I want to give something back,” he says.
Robert gives presentations in the community, travelling to workplaces and different organisations. He tells audiences about his own bowel cancer story and promotes awareness of symptoms.
“I was lucky,” he says, “and want to tell the world how easy it is to dramatically increase the odds of surviving bowel cancer.
“I’ve already ‘saved’ one person through my presentations, I am looking for No.2!”
Robert says volunteering has added much to his life and encourages other to take part. He says: “Watch, listen, and go for it!”
