Trusts & Foundations

Donations from Charitable Trusts and Foundations enable Beating Bowel Cancer to provide direct support and information to patients, family members and others concerned about symptoms. Such support also helps us to raise awareness of symptoms to ensure people get diagnosed as early as possible.

You can support a specific area of our work, or you can allow us to use the donation where the need is the greatest. We will keep you updated on our progress so you know how your support is making a difference.

Following my diagnosis with bowel cancer and secondary cancer three months ago I had given up all hope of beating the disease until I came across your booklet on secondary liver cancer. This lifted me out of the deep depression I was in and convinced me to undergo treatment….. Words cannot express how much the work your charity does has helped me.”

"I've had great support from your nurses over the last four years. Every few months during my remission period I'd get a call to check in to see how I was - sometimes I didn't realise I wasn't doing so well emotionally until I got that call and to have a sympathetic, knowledgeable ear who isn't a friend or relative means a lot.”

Thank you to our supporters

We are extremely grateful to all of the Trusts and Foundations who support our work including The Balcombe Trust, The Mackintosh Foundation, The John Ellerman Foundation, The City Bridge Trust and The Albert Hunt Trust.

We were awarded a grant of £50,000 from The Freemasons' Grand Charity towards the work of our Patient Services department, including our Nurse Advisory Service.

Our newly designed website and online patient forum has been designed with support from the Caron Keating Foundation

Having lost a family member to bowel cancer, I know how important it is to obtain early diagnosis to save lives. So many people seem to source information primarily through the internet, this is a tremendous service to offer those who are desperately in need of information."

Gloria Hunniford, Trustee of the Caron Keating Foundation

"Beating Bowel Cancer impressed me with its enthusiasm and commitment to saving lives and helping patients. I was shocked that bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer and through the Lockwood Charitable Foundation I am proud to support Beating Bowel Cancer and help the charity to make people aware of bowel cancer and its symptoms and provide direct support for patients to relieve their suffering."

Richard Lockwood, Trustee of the Lockwood Charitable Foundation
