Trek Mount Kilimanjaro and feel on top of the world!
You've seen it on TV as part of Comic Relief, now you can take up the challenge and climb Mount Kilimanjaro – the highest freestanding mountain in the world!
Having climbed from the dusty plains of Tanzania through thick forest and moorland you will pass huge permanent glaciers, spectacular views and beautiful ice formations on your way to the summit. These are just some of the rewards for pushing your limits both physically and mentally.
What's Included?
The trip includes the following:
- Experienced group leaders and support staff to manage the event safely and enjoyably including a fully qualified doctor
- Return flights to the UK
- All accomodation and camping equipment (excluding sleeping bag and mat)
- Most meals
- National park entry fees
- Local support crew including cooks, porters and drivers
The trip does not include the following:
- Personal travel insurance
- Airline fuel suplement (if necessary)
- Tanzanian entry visa
- Two meals as specified in the itinerary
- Personal spending money
Sponsorship & Costs
This is an Open Challenge which means it is open to anyone. People fundraising for other charities will be on the trek. There are several trip dates available to suit you.
Registration fee: £499
Minimum Sponsorship pledge: £3950
Your registration fee is payable to the tour operator when you sign up. The minimum sponsorship should be paid to Beating Bowel Cancer. 80% of your target is due no later than 8 weeks before you depart. The remaining 20% should arrive with us no later than 1 month after you return.
