An amazing weekend of highs and... more highs!

This challenging trek will see you crossing the breadth of rugged and exciting Snowdonia and summiting 10 of the highest peaks in Wales. Each one of them over 3000ft, and grouped into three distinct ranges of hills; the Snowdon Massif, the Glyders, and The Carneddau.
Day 1
Expected arrival at bunkhouse in Snowdonia – by 20:00 latest
Day 2
Breakfast - 06:30
Prepare lunches & pack gear - kit check
Depart bunkhouse on foot - 07:30
Start walking - 08:00
Our walk is planned to take approx. 11 hours for the full day. This will be a strenuous day, so make sure you pack plenty of food!
Return to bunkhouse - approx 20:00
Evening meal and overnight
Day 3
Breakfast - 07:00
Depart bunkhouse – 08:00 Transfer to Ogwen Cottage—for start of Carnedds route
Trek lasts approximately 9 hrs, and will see us ending near the historic Inn at Capel Curig
Finish walking by latest 18:00
What's included?
Accommodation
Simple, but clean, bunkhouse accommodation is booked for you. We shall be based in Llanberis. There are good hot showers. You will need to bring a towel
Meals
Breakfast is included on days 2 –4
Guiding team
An experienced mountain leader will accompany the challenge. They will be a qualified first aider.
What's not included?
- Evening meals, lunch and snacks.
- Transport to and from Snowdonia
Kit
You might need to buy some kit for this trip. You don't need to buy anything expensive but you do need to be sure that your kit is comfortable and suitable for this event.
A comprehensive kit list will be provided once you have complete your registration but below are some items you may need.
- Light weight fleece
- Medium weight fleece
- Gloves
- Hat
- Walking trousers
- Sturdy walking boots with ankle support
- Waterproof jacket and trousers
- Daysack (rucksack to be used during the day, no more than 25 -35 litres)
- Walking poles
- Headtorch
Weather
The weather can be changeable and unpredictable. Therefore please come prepared for all weather. Although this event takes place in the summer you must bring a hat, sturdy walking boots and layers so you can adjust your level of warmth.
