It’s easy to join our Patient Voices Group. The only requirement is that you have, or have had, bowel cancer, or are a close relation of a bowel cancer patient, and you want to help us to raise awareness of the disease in the media and to the general public, or to offer support to other patients, fundraise or help in some other way.
To become part of the group, simply download and fill in the registration
form below.
Please feel free to write up your story in your own words if you would prefer,
just making sure it covers the key points in the questionnaire. Then return
it, along with a photograph of yourself, to our Patient Voices Coordinator,
at the main charity address.
If you are also interested in offering telephone support for bowel cancer patients, setting up a local support group, distributing our bowel cancer leaflets and so on, please tick the relevant boxes at the end of the questionnaire and we will send you further information.
For those Group members who are happy to help us raise awareness of bowel cancer in the media, we will summarise your experience onto 1 side of A4, and should a media opportunity arise, we will contact you for your agreement. For example, this could be when a journalist wants to talk to someone who has experienced bowel cancer to get your first hand experience, or to understand how particular treatments work; or if you are involved in a fundraising activity or event which could be of interest to the press. We will not give out your contact details to anyone until we have discussed the request with you in person.
We look forward to welcoming you as part of the Group!
