Trek China
The Olympic Challenge 2008
Along the Great Wall of China
7th-16th May 2008
Experience
Chinas breathtaking and majestic Great Wall as well as the excitement
of the forthcoming Beijing Olympics!
Stretching 6000km in a dotted line across China, the Great Wall was begun in the 5th Century BC. As it snakes across the mountains it conjures up a sense of history which is difficult to grasp until you have had the opportunity to experience it.
Our
trek through Chinas Middle Kingdom is very varied, as we pass through
woodland and terraced farmland, and follow the contours of the beautiful
hills and mountains in remote areas north of Beijing. We follow old sections
of the Great Wall, as well as restored sections with smooth flagstones
and lots of steps!
This
challenge is physically demanding and offers fabulous scenery and a fascinating
insight into a rich culture and history, which will remain with you forever.

and canoe around a specially designed course in the heart of the Lakes!
Aim: To pick up as many points on each section as possible
within the 7 hour time frame and beat your competitors!
You will need: A team with stamina, endurance, communication
skills and above all a sense of fun and adventure!
How it works: In this action-packed day, your team must
undertake all three disciplines of mountain biking, trekking and canoeing.
However, it is up to your team to decide how many checkpoints you want
