Trek China – The Olympic Challenge 2008
Along the Great Wall of China
7th-16th May 2008

Experience China’s breathtaking and majestic Great Wall as well as the excitement of the forthcoming Beijing Olympics!

Stretching 6000km in a dotted line across China, the Great Wall was begun in the 5th Century BC. As it snakes across the mountains it conjures up a sense of history which is difficult to grasp until you have had the opportunity to experience it.

Our trek through China’s Middle Kingdom is very varied, as we pass through woodland and terraced farmland, and follow the contours of the beautiful hills and mountains in remote areas north of Beijing. We follow old sections of the Great Wall, as well as restored sections with smooth flagstones and lots of steps!

This challenge is physically demanding and offers fabulous scenery and a fascinating insight into a rich culture and history, which will remain with you forever.

The Lakes Adventure Challenge
13th September 2008

Bike, hike and canoe!

Are you ready for your biggest physical and mental challenge yet? Then test your team to the max in this competitive and fun adventure challenge in the Lake District.

‘’My biggest challenge to date, but by far the best! The team spirit generated through this event is truly awesome and on top of raising money for a very worthy cause, this makes the whole effort all the more worthwhile’’
Matt - Team Trespassers - DTZ

The Lakes Adventure Challenge is a competitive and fun adventure style team race, set in the breathtaking Lake District around Lake Windermere and the Grizedale Forest. It fits perfectly into a weekend and is great for a group of friends or work colleagues as well as for raising vital funds for Beating Bowel Cancer.

Mission: To navigate as a team, by mountain bike, foot and canoe around a specially designed course in the heart of the Lakes!

Aim: To pick up as many points on each section as possible within the 7 hour time frame and beat your competitors!

You will need: A team with stamina, endurance, communication skills and above all a sense of fun and adventure!

How it works: In this action-packed day, your team must undertake all three disciplines of mountain biking, trekking and canoeing. However, it is up to your team to decide how many checkpoints you want to visit (at least one checkpoint in each section) and in what order.

Time to Party:  Your challenge is celebrated with a special post-event party where you have time to relax and toast your achievement!
