The race starts outside the legendary Hard Rock Cafe on Piccadilly and the route will take runners past central London's world famous historic and iconic landmarks including the London Eye and Houses of Parliament.

Hydro Active Women’s Challenge

Congratulations and thank you to all our runners who took part in the Hydro Active Women’s Challenge on 16 th September! The atmosphere was fantastic and a really fun day for everyone involved. Thanks to the brilliant fundraising efforts of our runners we hope to raise over £6,000.

London Marathon

Run the biggest marathon in the world!

Why not share this amazing experience with Beating Bowel Cancer and join our team in The London Marathon to help us increase the awareness of the UK’s 2nd biggest cancer killer.

There are two ways you can join the Beating Bowel Cancer team:

As a Golden Bond Runner

Beating Bowel Cancer has a limited number of guaranteed places in the Flora London Marathon and we would love you to join our team!

As a Golden Bond runner we ask you to raise a minimum of £2,000, and we will support you all the way. To apply for your guaranteed place, simply please email the events team. today and request a registration form.

We will also ask you to apply through the official London Marathon ballot, which is open NOW until mid October. Simply pick up a copy of Marathon News from your local sports shop, fill it in and send it back to London Marathon by mid October. For a full list of sports shops stocking Marathon News please visit www.london-marathon.co.uk. This not only doubles your chances of getting a place, but allows you still to run for Beating Bowel Cancer if you are successful in the ballot.

The results will then be announced in early December, and then our golden bond places will be allocated!

As an own Place Runner

If you got through the ballot and have your own place we would still love you to run as part of the Beating Bowel Cancer team. You will receive the same benefits and support as a Golden Bond runner. All you need to do is contact us and let us know!

If you have your own place, all we ask you to do is raise as much money as you can for us.

All Beating Bowel Cancer runners receive:

• Fundraising support, materials, e-newsletters and ideas from our dedicated events team
• PR support to raise awareness of your efforts in your local area

Edinburgh Marathon

The most amazing marathon you will ever run! Take part in this fantastic marathon and run through the historic streets of beautiful Edinburgh! The great thing about this marathon is that you can run it either as an individual or as a team of 4 in the Hairy Haggis Relay team!

Berlin Marathon

The real,- Berlin Marathon is considered to be one of the world's fastest and flattest marathon courses! The course is circular and you'll start and finish at Berlin’s iconic Brandenburg Gate.

Within easy travelling distance from the UK, this is a great opportunity to compete in an international race a little closer to home. Whether you’re going for a fast time, the German culture or the race weekend atmosphere, you’ll find it in Berlin.

How to I get a place?

All we ask you to do is send in your application form with a £49 non-refundable registration fee and pledge to raise £1000. We’ll supply you with sponsor forms, a running vest and lots of ideas for raising the money.

2nd November 2008

Run in the Big Apple and take part in one of the finest marathons in the world! This is one not to be missed for its overall cosmopolitan buzz and the great atmosphere of its pre and post race celebrations.

We’d love you to join our team in New York and be part of something really special as well as raise money for Beating Bowel Cancer.
