Campaigns
A core aspect of our work is to raise the profile of bowel cancer and tackle its surrounding issues through campaigns and projects. We are proud of the many innovative awareness campaigns that we have created and implemented over recent years; from our hugely successful Tackle it! campaign which raised the profile of bowel cancer amongst younger men to this year's Bowel 1,2,3 which aimed to increase the number of over 60s taking part in screening.
We reach both the public and healthcare professionals with our messages. Our Behind Closed Doors campaign combined both of these elements; raising awareness of bowel cancer symptoms amongst pharmacy staff and their customers by using posters, leaflets and practice guidance.
Cheeky Warning and The Bottom Line were both created for an online audience - one that we are communicating with 24/7 via Facebook and Twitter.
Be Loud Be Clear is our annual awareness week in January. This, coupled with Bowel Cancer Awareness Month in April, make the first six months of the year very busy for the team at Beating Bowel Cancer but also present excellent opportunities to raise awareness and funds.
