Involve your staff

By supporting and encouraging your staff to get involved with Beating Bowel Cancer, you say a lot about your company values and commitment to your employees on an issue that will affect 1 in 18 of them – and those closest to them – at some point in their lives.

Team building

Beating Bowel Cancer organises a range of runs and challenges every year that teams of employees can easily join in.  You could bring a group of staff or customers to our Comedy Night, Ceilidh or Golf Day.  Get the whole office involved in BE LOUD BE CLEAR in January, or talk to our expert events team about setting up a bespoke event just for you.

Personal development

Your employees can also take part individually in our events – perhaps an overseas trek, or one of our places in the London (or even New York) Marathon!  They may also have their own fundraising idea which we will be glad to support them with.  You can give them a huge boost by matching the sponsorship they raise.

Health in the Workplace

Showing your employees that you care about their health and wellbeing is important to keep staff morale high and make them feel valued. We offer free Health in the Workplace presentations to organisations, to educate staff about bowel cancer, its symptoms and the importance of early diagnosis. Charity of the Year

If you don’t already operate a Charity of the Year scheme, it’s the logical extension of all of these ideas!  Click here for more information on how we could help make this a rewarding partnership all round.

Volunteering

Your staff will possess a whole range of skills that could be very helpful to our small team at the charity. They may be able to offer some time to assist on some of our projects, campaigns or events, either working from your own office, coming to our office, or helping us ‘out and about’ at awareness days or fundraising collections.

Contact Jo Garnham on 020 8973 0007 to discuss volunteering opportunities.
