Internships
We are looking to recruit volunteers to join our internship scheme, based in Teddington. The scheme is aimed at graduates and is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills, gain work experience at a high profile national charity, and make a real difference to our work.
The role will be based on organisational need but the small size of our team means you could gain experience in all areas of the charity and tasks will be designed to develop your skills. You will gain experience working in the following areas:
• Events
• Fundraising
• Patient Services
• Finance & Administration
• Public Relations & Public Affairs
Beating Bowel Cancer’s volunteer internship will provide you with the following:
• An insight into working in the charity sector
• Hands on experience
• Work place skills development
• Improved job prospects
In addition, Beating Bowel Cancer offers the following:
• Travel expenses to and from the office and up to £10 per day for lunch
• Supervision and support throughout the volunteer internship
• CV/application writing and interview skills training
• Reference on completion of the volunteer internship
If you have graduated within the last two years we welcome your application.
To apply you must meet the following criteria:
• Be available for a minimum of 3 days a week for 16 weeks
• Be educated to degree level
• Be flexible and able to multi task
• Have excellent IT skills
• Have a genuine interest in and support for Beating Bowel Cancer’s work
